Robbins Island may be one of the only locations where the Tasmanian Devil has not been affected by the “Devil facial tumour disease” (DFTD). Now listed as endangered, the Tasmanian Devil is the largest living carnivorous marsupial (of the family Dasyuridae) in the world. We captured a photo of this young juvenile in the Woolnorth region. They prefer open forests and woodlands. Their diet is anything of animal origin and being scavengers, they prefer carrion.
